The College of Engineering
Engineering is the historical strength of the University, which was founded in 1993 with the three traditional Engineering Departments. The College of Engineering (CoE) was established in 1993 to integrate the engineering disciplines and promote interaction amongst the Engineering Schools in the University. This was an impetus to nucleate a culture of excellence in academic, research and administrative activities. It now consists of 5 departments, 3 graduate institutes and 3 research centers. This is one of the leading private engineering colleges in Taiwan. The College has played an important role in consolidating the University's first position among private universities in Taiwan, according to the ranking by the Taiwan MOE Higher Education Supplement in 2008 and 2009. We continue to make significant contribution to Taiwan’s growth and development through nurturing of engineer-leaders and spearheading research and development in strategic technologies.
