Engineering is the historical strength of the University. Founded in 1993 with the three traditional engineering departments, the College of Engineering (CoE), integrates the engineering disciplines and promotes the interaction between the engineering departments in the University. This is an impetus to nucleate a culture of excellence in academic, research and administrative activities. It now consists of 5 departments, 2 graduate institutes and 2 research centers. This is one of the leading private engineering colleges in Taiwan. The College has played an important role in consolidating the University's first position among private universities in Taiwan, according to the ranking by the Taiwanese MOE Higher Education Supplement in 2008 and 2009. We continue to make significant contributions to Taiwan’s growth and development through nurturing engineer-leaders and spearheading research and development in strategic technologies.
